Who should you have in your lineup?

whether you played Daily Fantasy on Yahoo before or trying it for the first time, this column will take a look at the DFS landscape, revealing who I like to build lineups, stars to fade, underrated plays, and bargaining options to help you build a better team.

Alignment building blocks

Justin Jefferson ($37) against the New York Giants

Jefferson led the NFL in receiving despite a quiet completion that only included 53 yards in the final two games. He returns home on Sunday in a favorable game against a Giants minor who won 16-12-133-1 when those teams met last month. Minnesota has one of the highest team implied totals this weekend as it faces a New York defense that finished the season fourth in the DVOA. Jefferson is worth calling in DFS this week (regardless of Love ‘Jacksonstate of).

Josh Allen ($40) against Miami Dolphins

The Bills led the NFL in yards per game at home this season, as Allen also saw his YPA jump from 6.9 on the road to 8.4 in Buffalo. he takes a highly favorable match against a blitz-happy Miami defense that allowed the third most fantasy points for quarterbacks this season. Opponents also had the sixth highest approval rating when facing the Dolphins. Allen racked up the second most Fantasy Points among all players this season and it’s hard to disappear in the DFS this weekend.

Keenan Allen ($26) @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Allen has averaged 11.3 goals over the last six games and has pulled off a Jacksonville defense that is better against the run than the pass. mike williams is highly questionable and likely won’t be 100 per cent if he plays after suffering a painful back injury last week, what must be a big boost for Allen. Additionally, the Jaguars have awarded the most Fantasy Points to the slot in the last two months of the season, where Allen has covered 63% of his routes this year.

star to disappear

Tyreek Hill ($33) @ Buffalo Bills

With the spread point going all the way to Buffalo -13, it’s clear Skylar Thompson will leave for Miami. The game’s script certainly could lead to a ton of targets for Hill, but he’s playing through an ankle injury and will suffer from having to catch a seventh-round rookie quarterback’s passers (not everyone is Brock Purdy). The Dolphins averaged 2.2 fewer yards per game with Thompson compared to Your Tagovailoa this season; Hill’s yards per target are down from 10.3 with Tua and 12.9 with Teddy Bridgewater dropped to 6.7 with Thompson (h/t Mr Reebs).

undervalued options

Tee Higgins ($17) against Baltimore Ravens

Higgins salary is the same as Dario Slayton‘if less than Richie James‘ this week; is 28% cheaper than Jaylen Waddleis at 0.5 PPR. Higgins almost evened Ja’Marr Chaseof the company’s production, when the two shared the field together in the last two years, but the salary of the first one is 45% cheaper. In other words, Higgins is blatantly underrated in a home game against a Baltimore defense that is tough to match. Joe BurrowThe Bengals’ YPA jumped from 7.0 on the road to 8.4 at home over his career, and the Bengals have a healthy implied team total. The game’s script could be an issue given the Ravens’ QB situation, but Higgins’ DFS salary still looks attractive this week. The Bengals went by far the most aggressive passing team in the final six weeks of the season (similar to last year’s playoff).

Daniel Jones ($32) @ Minnesota Vikings

Jones finished as a top 10 QB in fantasy points per game this season, ahead of justin herbert, tom brady (with him breaking the NFL record for completions and pass attempts) and Dak Prescotteveryone had A lot of Higher ADPs. Dimes could have finished with second-most rushing yards among quarterbacks had he played last week, and he pulled off a Minnesota defense that yielded second-most passing yards, fifth-most yards per game at home and fifth-highest fantasy points for QBs this season. Jones passed for over 300 yards when these teams met in Week 16 and it’s an intriguing DFS move in an indoor game.

kirk cousins ($27) is also a good move with affordable DFS earnings this week (and provides a JJ stack), albeit without the Jones upside.

Deebo Samuel ($15) against Seattle Seahawks

Samuel saw limited touches, but played 87% of first half snaps during his return last week. There’s competition to load with Christian McCaffrey and Elias Mitchellbut Samuel must be part of an extreme heavy ground attack from San Francisco with wind and heavy rain in the forecast. Samuel’s wasted time and limited success with Brock Purdy helped him become undervalued in the DFS this weekend. He’s back healthy, and the 49ers have the second-highest team total implied over six games.

Cincinnati Bengals D/ST ($10) vs. baltimore ravens

The Bengals ended the year quietly with a higher pressure rating than the 49ers and Bills and play better at home. Cincinnati allowed the third fewest TD passes in 2022 and was incredibly stingy against the run when dj player was on the field. The Bengals have an injury-ravaged Baltimore offense, including a quarterback position which can lead to Anthony Brown starting. As home favorites at 9.5 points, the Bengals’ D/ST looks intriguing in the min-priced DFS.
