Meghan was 'offended' when she was 'reprimanded' for insulting Kate

EXCLUSIVE: Meghan was ‘offended’ when she was ‘scolded’ for telling Kate she ‘must have baby brains because of her hormones’, which sparked a huge row, Harry reveals in his memoir

Prince Harry will reveal the details of a sensational fight between Meghan and Kate in his new book, the Mail has discovered.

In preparation for the Sussexes’ May 2018 wedding, Harry writes that Meghan told Kate she must have “baby brains because of her hormones.”

Kate, who gave birth to her third child, Prince Louis, a month before Meghan and Harry’s wedding, was understandably upset by the accusation.

But Meghan was also offended because she was reprimanded for her comments.

Harry says Meghan was told she wasn’t close enough to Kate to make such comments about her hormones.

A well-placed source said: ‘In the book, Harry says there was an argument about the timing of the wedding rehearsal and the bridesmaids’ dresses and Kate was very upset.

‘Meghan said Kate must have ‘baby brain” because of her hormones.

“This caused a huge amount of confusion because Meghan was told that she was not close enough to her sister-in-law to discuss her hormones and this is not how people talk to each other within the royal family.

“The book makes it clear that Meghan felt the falling out wasn’t her fault, but it doesn’t make her look too good either.”

In an extraordinary development, Harry – who reveals that the brothers were named ‘Harold and Willy’ – details the extent of the rift between the brothers.

Using language in the book that seems designed to shock, Harry describes his brother as ‘my archenemy’.

The details of the women’s quarrel, however, provide the most complete account yet of how the bitter rift extended to their wives.

Meghan first discussed the feud with Kate during her interview with Oprah Winfrey two years ago.

When Oprah asked if the reports that she had made Kate cry were true, Meghan responded by saying ‘it happened the opposite’, adding: ‘It made me cry and it really hurt my feelings. It’s been a really rough week for their marriage and she was upset about something, but she’s come to terms with it and apologized.

Harry will reveal that the brothers have had numerous physical fights since childhood.

One of the worst in recent years was the way William shared his views on Meghan.

A source said: ‘Harry doesn’t hide from William, he writes that Harry told him: “Meg is difficult, she’s rude, she’s abrasive. She’s been rude to the staff.”

‘Harry says that William cursed him, that he wanted Harry to agree with him, but that he was furious when Harry “had the audacity not to follow the script”. William grabbed him by the collar, tore off his necklace and pushed him to the ground.’

More allegations are set to emerge not just from the book, but during a third television interview, the Mail found out.

In addition to television appearances with Anderson Cooper in the US and Tom Bradby on ITV in the UK, Harry did another interview with broadcaster and former football player Michael Strahan.

The 90-minute interview with Strahan is expected to air on US television early next week to coincide with Tuesday’s book launch.

A source said: “There will be a lot more revelations and discussions about the book, so the Royal Family will want to prepare.”
