Prince Harry claims Meghan Markle has been firmly put in her shoes for making a remark about Kate Middleton’s “baby brain” ahead of their May 2018 wedding.
In his eagerly anticipated memoir, “Spare”, the Duke of Sussex allegedly writes that Markle told the Princess of Wales that she “must have a baby brain because of her hormones” in the midst of a row.
Middleton gave birth to her and Prince William’s third child, Prince Louis, just weeks before Harry and Meghan’s nuptials.
“There was an argument about the timing of the wedding rehearsal and the bridesmaids’ dresses and Kate was very upset,” wrote Prince Harry, 38, according to The Daily Mail.
The American royal, 41, was reportedly reprimanded for the comment and said she was not close enough to Middleton, 40, to make a comment like that. In turn, Markle was “offended” by the scolding.
Page Six has reached out to the Palace, who had no comment on Harry’s allegations.
This isn’t the first time tensions between the two have been revealed.
At the renegade royals’ explosive 2021 reunion with Oprah Winfrey, Markle dismissed widespread reports that she had “made Kate cry” over her bridesmaid’s dresses for the wedding, claiming, “The opposite happened.”
Markle did not reveal any further details about the falling out at the time, only confirming that it was over the dresses and that it made her cry and really “hurt” her feelings.
“There was no confrontation. I don’t think it’s fair on her to go into detail because she apologized and I forgave her,” Markle said at the time.
“It was a really rough week of the wedding and she was upset about something, but she took over, and she apologized, and she brought me flowers and a note, apologizing.”
The former “Suits” star also criticized Middleton in her recent Netflix documentary “Harry & Meghan”, revealing that she was taken aback by how formal the royal family is behind closed doors.
She recounted the first time she met the Prince and Princess of Wales, barefoot and in ripped jeans.
“I was a hugger and have always been a hugger. I didn’t realize this was really shocking to a lot of Brits,” said Markle, referring to the first meeting. “I think I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside held up on the inside.”
Harry’s book, due to hit stores on January 10, doesn’t hesitate.
Prince Harry claims his brother, William, 40, physically attacked him during a row over Markle, which left him with visible remains.
The royals also write that Prince William and Middleton encouraged him to wear a Nazi uniform to a 2005 party and “burst out laughing” when they saw him in it.
