NFL 2022 Playoff Image, Standings: Jaguars Control AFC South Destiny, Packers Stay Alive for Wild Card

The NFL playoff races are coming to an end as we work through the Week 16 roster. The race for home field advantage will be good between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs, with the Cincinnati Bengals having an away chance for the showdown next week with the Bills.

The Baltimore Ravens are back in the playoffs after Saturday’s win, keeping serve with the Bengals in the AFC North race. The Jacksonville Jaguars are leading the AFC South with two games to play – thanks to the Tennessee Titans continuing their free fall.

The NFC wild card race appears to be coming to an end as all teams vie for the two spots lost on Saturday, opening the door for the Packers. The New York Giants and Washington Commanders are currently ranked 6th and 7th in the playoff race.

There are two weeks left until the playoffs. Below you can find a breakdown by breakdown of the current standings and what each candidate is facing in their schedule the rest of the way.

AFC East

What to know: The Bills clinched the AFC East title with Saturday’s win over the Bears, and still hold first place in the conference with a head-to-head tiebreaker against the Chiefs. They clinch the No. 1 seed with a Chiefs win and loss next week.

What to know: Miami is the AFC’s seventh seed and holds a one-game lead over New York, New England and Pittsburgh for the last conference playoff berth.

New England Patriots

What to know: The Patriots’ playoff chances are dwindling with their loss to the Bengals. They are one of four teams tied at 7–8 but hold the conference record tiebreaker over the Titans and Steelers. They hold the division tiebreaker by sweeping the Jets.

Remaining hours: against Dolphins in Bills

What to know: The Jets are the 9th seed in the playoffs, losing a divisional record tiebreaker to the Patriots. They have the best common game winning percentage against the Titans and a conference record tiebreaker over the Steelers.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Minnesota Vikings

What to know: The Vikings move one game behind the Eagles to the #1 seed in the NFC with their win and Philadelphia’s loss. Minnesota needs to win and Philadelphia needs to lose to get home field advantage, as the Eagles have the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
