Cheryl Burke is looking forward to 2023.

On Wednesday, the Dancing With The Stars vet shared on social media that she will cry with joy on New Year’s Eve this weekend.

‘When you see me crying at 11:59 pm on NYE, don’t think it’s because I’m sad. It’s because if*ing MADE IT over the year has done everything it can to try and break me,” she wrote on the screen.

There was a backstage clip of Burke moving around.

“And there were many times when I thought it would happen, but here I am,” she added.

Burke’s text post continued: ‘Ready to move on to no longer be defined by my past, and SO ready to start the next chapter of my life. 2023, LET’S SHOW YOU HOW IT’S DONE!’

This comes after she compared her departure from Dancing with the Stars to divorce.

The 38-year-old dancer walked away from the TV show at the end of its 31st season, and Cheryl has now compared her departure to her recent divorce from actor Matthew Lawrence.

Cheryl told the New York Post’s Page Six column: “I’m blown away. I’ve been trying to hold back the tears, I would say, because I really wanted to do the best I could. Now, with all that behind me, it’s bittersweet…but I have to trust my intuition.

‘[It’s been] so hard. It’s like another type of divorce, but amicable.

‘I do know, though, that I love to evolve as a human being. I think, for me, I’ve done 26 seasons as a professional dancer and I know I’m more than capable of doing other things as well.’

Despite this, Cheryl hinted that she would be open to returning to the show one day.

Len Goodman also exited the show the same night as Cheryl, and she has since been named to replace him on the judging panel.

Responding to the speculation, Cheryl explained: ‘I never thought in a million years that I would retire in the same season as Len Goodman. Honestly, I would love to evolve within the [‘DWTS’] family, but what if it doesn’t? All is well. I had to do this for myself.’

Meanwhile, Cheryl also praised TikTok star Charli D’Amelio and her pro partner Mark Ballas after they won the Mirrorball Trophy.

The brunette beauty explained: ‘Deserved! I called from the beginning. I mean, Mark is a creative genius. I’m so proud of him. It’s not easy to take a break and come back.

‘I just love that Mark has come back with a vengeance and with someone who is just as sweet as Charli. Very well deserved. I’m very happy for both of them.
